Over 96,000 Taxi Requests via Phone and "Route" App in Ajman During 2024

The Ajman Transport Authority received 69,322 taxi service requests via phone, while the number of requests through the Route smart application reached 26,943 in 2024. This marks a 26% increase compared to 2023, when the authority received 55,356 phone requests for taxis and 21,961 taxi trips were booked through the Route app, reflecting a 23% growth. The total number of taxi requests through phone and the Route smart app amounted to 96,265.

The authority reported that it received 38,552 phone requests for taxis last year, noting that these requests included standard taxis, Mahra women’s taxis, limousine services, and taxis for people of determination.

The majority of phone requests were for standard taxis, followed by taxis for people of determination and other diverse requests.

The authority emphasized its commitment to providing diverse communication channels for the public and customers while continuously improving them to enhance the quality of transportation services within and outside Ajman.
